I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1999.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Human Learning K-8.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee at Martin in December of 1999, I accepted my first position teaching first grade at Christ Classical Academy during the 2000-2001 school year. After one year, I made a move to Holice Powell School.  I spent one year in first grade and the next teaching 4th grade. In 2003, I moved to 2nd grade. I taught 2nd grade at Holice Powell for 13 years. In 2016, I asked to transfer to 3rd grade. Third grade has been such a challenge and has rekindled my love of teaching. I have been teacher of the year during the 2006-2007 and 2010-2011 school years. Currently, I am on the Tennessee Department of Education Mathematics Assessment Committee. I am also a member of Dyer County Schools Teacher Leadership Academy.

My name is Monica Robbins and I  currently teach 3rd grade at Holice Powell.  I have been married to Jeff Robbins since June of 2000. We have one daughter, Emma Grace, who is a 10th grader at Dyer County High School. We live in Dyersburg.  I enjoy spending time with my family. We love to travel.
