NMS Art

Art Club & art students learned about & created Calaveras (sugar skull) pumpkins in the traditional style of “Dia De Los Muertos” (“Day of the Dead”), a celebration in Latin American countries which lasts several days, Oct. 31-Nov. 2nd, to honor friends and family who have died. Calaveras, or skull images, are decorative, and coincide with prayer, happy festivities & meals, and gatherings in remembrance.
