Fifth grader, Carly Savley, from Mrs. Jennifer Milan’s class won first place in the Dyer County Farm Bureau’s essay contest, “What is Agriculture?” In this contest, students had to research aspects of agriculture and why it is important. While doing this research paper, fifth grade students worked on many important fifth grade ELA standards. Carly’s essay is being sent to the TN Farm Bureau’s contest that will take place next month.
