Dear HPS Families,
I cannot believe that the end of the year is here. I am very sad about the way the year is ending. I know that the students are missing out on a lot of the normal end of year activities that they look forward to all year long. In order to help have a little closure for our year, we have several things planned over the course of the next two weeks. Please see the schedule below for important information for wrapping up the 2019-2020 school year.
Friday, May 15 – The End of the Year Awards Program will be held on Facebook live at 10:30 a.m.
Monday, May 18 – Students can pick up belongings (items from their classrooms, yearbooks, etc.) as well as any awards they won. Report cards will go home at this time. All HPS students will also receive a summer fun bag that has some fun items for your child to use over the summer. Each student will also have a summer academic packet in their bag. The academic packets are to help your child maintain his/her academic skills during our break. This will take place during the lunch distribution time (10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) and will be located at the front door.
Monday, May 18 – Academic packet and lunch distribution will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Lunch pick-up will be at the cafeteria entrance.
Monday, May 18 – We will have an additional pick-up time for student belongings, report cards, summer fun bags, and awards from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. The pick-up location will be at the front entrance.
Tuesday, May 19 – A preschool celebration video will be released on Facebook.
Wednesday, May 20 – A kindergarten celebration video will be released on Facebook.
Thursday, May 21 – This will be the final day to pick up belongings (things left in desks, yearbooks, report cards, summer fun bags). This will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the front entrance of the school.
Thursday, May 21 – This will be the final day to pick up breakfasts and lunches. This will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the cafeteria entrance.
Thursday, May 21 – A 5th grade celebration video will be released on Facebook.
If you have any questions about anything in this letter, please contact us at the school at 285-1994. I am looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year and cannot wait to see everyone. I hope you all have a great summer. See you soon.
Warmly,
Ms. Rena
