USDA Extends Free Meals for All Students Through December 31, 2020
USDA has extended the Summer Food Service program through December 31, 2020, or until available federal funding runs out. What this means for Dyer County families is that all children, regardless of eligibility, can receive one (1) breakfast and one (1) lunch per day at no cost through December 31, 2020 or until federal funding is no longer available. Students can still put money in their account to purchase a la carte items. Any balance currently on student accounts will remain in their account to be used when the free program ends. Please continue to submit eligibility (F/R) applications so they will be on file for your student when the program ends. Parents of remote and/or virtual learners wanting meals will now be allowed to pick up meals for all their children at one school. We ask parents to continue reserving remote meals through the Dyer County School website link for remote and/or virtual learners. We are excited to be able to provide this assistance to our families in need who have been affected by this pandemic. If you have additional questions, please contact Amy Hester.
